ALL STUDENTS HAVE RECEIVED THEIR HOPE OF AMERICA CD. PLEASE PLAY THIS ON THE WAY TO SCHOOL AND HOME AGAIN DAILY. IT IS A GREAT PATRIOTIC PROGRAM.
This morning we learned locations of the next most populated cities. Philadelphia, Phoenix, and San Diego each have 1.5, 1.4, and 1.2 million people respectively. We had quite the discussion about Phoenix and San Diego's approximation to the southern border. Students shared what they knew about country relations.
We participated in more vocabulary activities, finished Ben and Me, and finished our last paragraphs in our 3-point expository essays. Tomorrow we will write the complete rough drafts of our essays, so we can edit each others' next week. Following directions is very important for this kind of writing assignment. I am very pleased at the effort and concentration students are employing.
TOMORROW IS OUR LANGUAGE ARTS TEST.
MATH HOMEWORK IS TO COMPLETE REVIEW #7, AND TEST 7.2.A AND 7.3.A THAT WERE WORKED ON IN CLASS TODAY. In lieu of Valentine's Day today, and the intense excitement in the air, I didn't think it wise to administer Cumulative Test 1-7. TOMORROW WE WILL COMPLETE THAT TEST. PLEASE HAVE YOUR STUDENTS GO OVER THE REVIEW #7 TO PREPARE.
MRS. PENROD'S MATH CLASS SHOULD DO PAGES 44-46 AND ANY PAST CORRECTIONS.
After Foreign Language we had a class Valentine share. Students were so generous and complimentary to each other. I love the dynamics of this class.
After the skiers left, a few of us finished up some puppets and then headed to mini-courses.
